Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening (or marg)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup molasses
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup raisins
Directions:
1. cream shortening with sugar and salt.
2. Blend milk and molasses and add.
3. Stir flours and spices.
4. Pour liquid ingredients into dry.
5. Drop in raisins and stir just enough to moisten.
6. Spoon into the well greased muffin tins and bake 400F 20 minutes.
7. Serve warm.
