Ginger Pineapple and Orange Punch

My Mum got this about 20 years ago from one of her friends along with another non-alcoholic punch. Great in the summer served chilled at a barbeque. Cooking time does not include chilling so please take that into account.
Ingredients:
1 liter fresh orange juice
3 cups pineapple juice
3 cups water
1 cup sugar
2 (1 1/4 liter) pale dry ginger ale
2 oranges, segmented
Directions:
1. Combine juices, water and sugar in a pan. Stir over a low heat till sugar dissolves. Cool and chill.
2. Add chilled ginger ale and orange segments just before serving.
