These tasty little gems are sure to please! Great for the holidays when making up your cookie trays for family and friends! Cooking time is per pan of cookies.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste
1 cup raisins, washed
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
2. Cream together butter and sugar, then add molasses and egg. Mix well.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients, then add to creamed mixture. Blend well.
4. Stir in raisins.
5. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, then roll in sugar.
6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
