This is a great marinade for steak, which doubles as a dipping sauce. I love to eat this with brown rice and steamed brocolli and put the sauce on my rice! Yummy. This is good to make ahead to have for supper the next day. The marinade tends to burn in the pan, probably because of the sugar content. So, you have to watch that. We like our steaks rare, so they cook long enough on either side just to brown, not burn. Marinade can be doubled to accommodate more steaks.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated fine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons onions, minced fine
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 lb beef steak
Directions:
1. 1. Combine first 7 ingredients.
2. 2. Marinate steaks in mixture overnight.
3. 3. Cook steaks in preheated pan, 4-6 minutes per side, depending on how rare you like them.
4. 4. Simmer leftover marinade for 5 minutes. Serve as dipping sauce with steak.
