Giant Oat Cookies

This recipe comes from cheerios.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup oats, quick-cooking or 1 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups cheerios toasted oat cereal
Directions:
1. Heat the oven to 375. Place the butter and sugar in a large bowl. beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until blended. Beat in the oil, vanilla and eggs until well combined. On low speed, beat in the flour, oats, baking soda and salt until a dough forms. With a spoon, stir in the cereal.
2. For each cookie, roll 1/3 cup of the dough into a ball. Place the balls 2 inches apart onto 2 ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until the cookies are light brown. Cool the cookies for 2 minutes on the cookie sheets. Then remove them from the cookie sheets and place on wire racks. Cool completely, about 20 minutes. Store the cookies in a tightly covered container.
