This is an incredible rice dish packed with great flavors. Enjoy
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup wild rice
4 stalks celery sliced
2 small white onions peeled and chopped
1 clove garlic minced
6 cups chicken broth
2 cups long grain white rice
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Directions:
1. In medium saucepan over medium high heat melt butter.
2. Sauté garlic, celery, onion and wild rice until celery and onion are soft.
3. Stir in broth, parsley, salt and pepper then bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and cover them simmer 40 minutes.
5. Add white rice and return to a boil for 1 minute then reduce to simmer.
6. Cover and cook 15 minutes longer then remove rice still covered from heat and rest 5 minutes.
7. Fluff with a fork and serve immediately.
