German-Style Green Beans

This is a nice side dish to any German entree, especially pork. It can be made in the crockpot, or on the stovetop.
Ingredients:
2 (14 ounce) cans green beans, with liquid
6 slices cooked bacon, reserve drippings
bacon drippings (optional)
6 tablespoons vinegar
6 tablespoons brown sugar
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a small crockpot including some of the bacon drippings (optional).
2. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
3. The longer the beans cook, the more flavorful they are.
4. This recipe can easily be doubled.
