German Pickled Eggs

Don't remember how this became a regular recipe I make but it's a good one for egg lovers
Ingredients:
2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 tlbs mustard
1 tbls. salt
1 tbls. celery seed
1 tbls. mustard seed
6 whole cloves
2 onions, thinly sliced
12 hard boiled eggs, peeled
Directions:
1. In saucepan, combine all ingredients but onion and egg
2. Bring to boil
3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes
4. Cool to room temp.
5. Put eggs and onions in jar
6. Cover with vinegar mixture
7. Refrigerate 24 hours
