German Pancakes With Buttermilk Syrup

These have a flavor from the past when all the nice things were hard to get....butter milk was easy to come by.....hope you enjoy
Ingredients:
pancakes
6 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons melted margarine
buttermilk syrup
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup margarine
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions:
1. Place the eggs, milk, flour and salt in a blender.
2. Cover and process until smooth.
3. Pour the butter into an ungreased 9 X 13-inch pan, then add the batter.
4. Bake uncovered at 400 for 20 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine the first five syrup ingredients and bring to a boil.
6. Boil for 7 minutes.
7. Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla.
8. Serve pancake immediately with the syrup.
