Here is a simple and quick to make pie you can use as an alternative to German Chocolate Cake.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon flour
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 pinch salt
2 eggs
3 tablespoons butter, melted
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 9 inch pie shell, unbaked
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Combine sugar, cornstarch, flour, cocoa and salt.
3. Add eggs, butter and milk; then coconut and vanilla.
4. Pour into pastry shell and bake for 35-40 minutes.
5. Top will be crusty and firm.
