German Chocolate Caramel Cake

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CARAMEL CAKE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Greer Estate in Arlington Texas in 1987.
Ingredients:
1 box german chocolate cake mix
3 large eggs
1-1/3 cups milk
1/3 cup oil
1 container caramel frosting
1 jar caramel ice cream topping
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except caramel topping and frosting then mix on high until nice and thick.
2. Bake in a rectangular sprayed cake pan for 45 minutes at 350.
3. When cake is finished let cool 10 minutes then poke 24 holes across top with a wooden spoon.
4. Spread caramel topping over cake filling holes.
5. Once cake is completely cooled frost with caramel frosting.
