Garlic Squares

Ingredients:
1 cup coarsely chopped garlic
1 cup onion, sliced thin
6 tablespoons butter
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dill
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
Directions:
1. Saute garlic and onion in the 2T.
2. butter until tender not brown about 10 minutes,set aside.
3. In a bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt.
4. Cut in the 1/4c.
5. butter until small crumbs like cornmeal.
6. Add parsley,dill and milk stir just until moist.
7. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan.
8. Spread the garlic and onion on top sprinkle with cheese.
9. Bake 450° for 25-30 minutes.
10. Cool slightly and cut into 8 squares.
