Garlic Lovers Summer Veggies

This is my recipe which is a take of one of my Mom's. Wonderful flavors! To me, it spells moreish.'
Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
1 medium onion, sliced
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
1 dash dried red pepper flakes
2 -3 small yellow unpeeled squash, chopped
2 -3 small unpeeled zucchini, chopped
1 ear of corn, kernels of
1 large tomato, chopped
1/8 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
salt and pepper
bacon bits, for topping
grated cheese, blend for topping
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, over medium high, heat the olive oil.
2. Add the slliced onions and dried red pepper flakes, saute 2 minutes stirring frequently - add the minced garlic and continue to stir for 1 minute.
3. Add the squash and zucchini. Stir to mix. Let cook about 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
4. Add the basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir to incorparate.
5. Add the corn kernels and chopped tomato. Stir to mix well. Let veggies cook until they reach your level of perferred doneness.
6. Put in serving bowl or on individual plates. Garnish with bacon bits and grated cheese.
7. Note: By cooking the red pepper flakes at the beginning with the onions, their flavor will be infused throughout the dish.
