This is a recipe from Southern Living, May 2001. Ingredients:
4 garlic cloves, minced |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 1/4 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Sauté garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 2. Add beans, tossing to coat. 3. Add broth and remaining ingredients. 4. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until green beans are crisp-tender. |
