Garlic Chicken And Broccoli Pasta

This is my knock off of Olive Garden's Chicken Con Broccoli .Of course I added additional flavors to this dish! I love the flavors of this sauce. I serve a great tossed Italian salad and fresh homemade yeast rolls with this! Read more ! Yummy, Yummy, a blessing to the tummy!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. chicken breasts, sliced thin
2 tsp. olive oil
4 oz. dry orecchiette or penne pasta, cooked according to package directions
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
4 tablespoons salted butter
2 tablespoons thinly sliced garlic
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1 cup sour cream
1 1/3 cup broccoli florets
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic salt
salt and pepper to taste
shredded parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Season chicken with Italian seasoning and garlic salt.
2. Cook chicken and garlic in the olive oil till lightly browned.
3. Stir in mushrooms and green onions and continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Stir in chicken broth and broccoli and bring to a boil.
5. Lower heat to a low simmer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. stirring occasionally.
6. Mix flour with water until well blended.
7. Pour flour mixture into chicken sauce and continue to cook while stirring until sauce thickens.
8. Slowly add butter,sour cream and whipping cream.
9. Continue to cook over low heat for a few minutes.
10. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
11. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package directions, Drain, and add to sauce.
12. Remove from heat, sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese. and serve.
