This recipe has been handed down by my mom, and I'm not sure where she got it from, other than it was hand-written in her notebook from way back. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/3 cup cocoa |
1/3 cup melted butter |
2 unbeaten eggs |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup nuts |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar & cocoa in bowl. 2. Mix in melted butter. 3. Stir in eggs. 4. Add flour, salt and baking powder, then vanilla. 5. Beat until smooth and fold in nuts. 6. Spread in greased 9x9-inch pan. 7. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. |
