Brownie recipe from my Kitchen Aid mixer book.
Ingredients:
1 cup softened margarine or 1 cup softened butter, divided
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts or 1 cup pecans
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Grease and flour a 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
3. Melt 1/2 cup butter and chocolate in small saucepan over low heat; set aside to cool.
4. Place remaining 1/2 cup butter, sugar, and vanilla in mixer bowl.
5. Attach bowl and flat beater to mixer.
6. Turn to Speed 2 and mix about 30 seconds.
7. Turn to Speed 6 and beat about 2 minutes.
8. Turn to Speed 4, add eggs one at a time beating about 15 seconds after each addition.
9. Stop and scrape bowl, add cooled chocolate mixture.
10. Turn to Speed 2 and mix about 30 seconds.
11. Stop and scrape bowl, add all remaining ingredients.
12. Turn to Stir Speed and mix until well blended, about 30 seconds.
13. Pour into baking pan.
14. Bake for 45 minutes.
15. Cool in pan on wire rack and cut.
