From a late '70s, early '80s, cake mix box. Surprisingly tasty for something so easy. Ingredients:
1 (18 1/4 ounce) box white cake mix |
1/4 cup oil |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup water |
1 (23 ounce) can pie filling |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mix oil, eggs, cake mix and water; stir with. 3. fork or spoon until blended (about 2 minutes). Spread 2/3 batter in greased jelly roll pan. 4. Spoon pie filling onto batter,. 5. Plop remaining batter on top of fruit. 6. Bake at 350 degree oven for 35-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. 7. Cool and cut into squares. |
