Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (17-ounce) can fruit cocktail, undrained

Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl; mix well. Stir in fruit cocktail. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
2. Remove from oven and immediately spoon the topping over cake. Cool completely. Cut into squares to serve.
