Frozen Red Slaw

Second freezer slaw.
Ingredients:
1 head red cabbage, shredded
1 cup carrot, grated
1 tablespoon salt
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup onion, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
Directions:
1. Mix shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and salt in a large bowl; let stand one hour; drain very thoroughly.
2. Meanwhile while cabbage is setting, boil sugar, water, vinegar, celery seed, and dry mustard for a couple of minutes; cool.
3. Pour solution over drained cabbage and carrot; add diced bell pepper, onion, and celery; toss.
4. Put into freezer containers.
5. Thaw in refrigerator when ready to use.
