Frijoles Refritos (Refried Beans)

Ingredients:
2 cups beans, cooked
3 tablespoons lard or 3 tablespoons bacon drippings
1/2 cup longhorn cheese, grated
Directions:
1. Heat lard or bacon drippings in frying pan or saucepan.
2. Add beans, mash and simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Top with cheese and serve when melted.
4. NOTE: this along with green chili and/or salsa is a great burrito filling.
