Fried Peach Pies

This is one that I have had for more years than I can remember. We love them! The best part ( besides eating them) is you can use any fruits.
Ingredients:
oil, as needed, for frying
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup evaporated milk
5 cups all-purpose flour
filling:...........
dried peaches or fresh peaches, chopped and confectioners' sugar, for dusting, if desired
Directions:
1. Mix eggs, baking powder, sugar and salt.
2. Add oil and milk and stir well.
3. Mix in flour, one cup at a time. Knead well until smooth.
4. Divide the dough into ten pieces.
5. Roll out each piece into a circle of dough. Place two to three heaping tablespoons of dried or fresh peaches in center of each round.
6. Fold over and crimp edges with a fork.
7. Deep fry until golden brown in pre-heated pan of oil.
8. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
