Fried Mushrooms with Feta Cheese Sauce

This is the recipe I used in a cooking competition that had to use mushrooms and feta cheese. I hope you enjoy it as much as the judges of the competition did!
Ingredients:
mushrooms
1 cup vegetable oil for frying
1 cup bread crumbs
1 (16 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
3 eggs, beaten
feta sauce
3 ounces crumbled feta cheese
3 tablespoons lemon juice
water, or as needed
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a small saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Spread bread crumbs into a shallow dish. Dip mushroom slices in beaten egg, dredge them in bread crumbs to coat, and cook them in hot oil until golden brown, about 5 to 6 minutes. Repeat until all mushrooms are cooked; drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
3. Blend feta cheese and lemon juice in a blender. Stream water into feta mixture as it blends until you get a desirable consistency. Serve with mushrooms.
