Fried Mozzarella Sandwiches

This sandwich just oozes with melted cheese and the bread is nice and crisp on the outside! An old Italian favorite!
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. smoked mozzarella sliced
4 beaten eggs
salt and pepper
1 cup flour
8 slices stale bread, crusts removed
oil or butter for frying
Directions:
1. Beat eggs, add salt and pepper to taste.
2. Heat frying pan, with oil, butter or a little of both, on low to medium
3. Make four sandwiches, dip sandwiches in flour, shaking off excess, then egg and then in flour again, shaking off excess. Press edges together.
4. Fry the sandwiches on both sides until golden brown.
5. Place on paper towel to absorb grease. Serve immediately.
