This is so easy yet so good. Another recipe I obtained from the Printey Estate in Forney, Texas in 2001. I love this recipe. Yummy Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans snapped and cleaned |
1/4 pound salt pork |
1 medium white onion chopped |
2 teaspoons minced garlic |
1-teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper |
1/4-cup water |
Directions:
1. Fry salt pork in skillet. 2. Remove salt pork after there is at least 2 tablespoons grease in skillet. 3. Fry onions in grease until translucent then add green beans and garlic. 4. Cook and stir frequently on medium high heat for about 5 minutes. 5. Turn to simmer and cook 15 minutes longer. 6. Stir occasionally and add water if needed. |
