This dish is a wonderful and easy side dish that is different yet extremely accepted. It adds flair to most any meal and is always asked for. Try it and add your own taste and personality to it. If you have ever had deep fried corn on the cob this dish will remind you of it , only better.
Ingredients:
one large bag of fresh frozen yellow corn.
hickory seasoned salt.
liquid smoke.
paprika.
chili powder.
parsley.
crushed red peppers ( optional )
butter.
Directions:
1. Empty the frozen corn into a large skillet
2. Stir to heat throughout.
3. Add hickory seasoned salt after the corn begins to warm.
4. Add liquid smoke and stir to distribute.
5. Add paprika and chili powder to taste and stir to mix all ingredients.
6. At this point add parsley and red peppers if you like for color and flavor.
7. Add butter and stir till melted.
8. This dish will have colors of red and orange and green, almost looking burned from the liquid smoke and hickory salt, but is ohh so good!!
