Fresh Vegetable Barley Soup

This recipe is easy to make. Feel free to add your own fresh ingredients to taste. I serve the soup with fresh popovers.
Ingredients:
8 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1 lb. fresh green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 cup fresh onions chopped ( your choice)
1 cup fresh carrots chopped
3 cups fresh tomatoes diced
2 cloves garlic minced
5 fresh basil leaves chopped
1tsp. fresh ground pepper
1/4 tsp. sea salt
2/3 cup pearl barley, uncooked
Directions:

Place all ingredients in slow cooker

Stir until well blended

Cover

Cook on low for 8 hours
