Fresh Broccoli and Apple Salad

Very quick and nutritious salad, taken from TOH magazine.
Ingredients:
3/4 lb chopped fresh broccoli
1 small green apple, chopped
1/2 cup chopped red onion
3 tablespoons bacon bits
1/2 cup ranch dressing
4 1/2 teaspoons sugar
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, apple, onion and bacon.
2. In a small bowl, combine salad dressing and sugar.
3. Pour over broccoli mixture, toss to coat.
