TO DIE FOR . GREAT AS MUNCHIES OR A SIDE WITH A STEAK. ENJOY!!!
Ingredients:
(3-4) onions
(2-3) cups of buttermilk
(1) egg beaten
(1) taespoon of salt
(1 1/2) teaspoon of baking powder
(2/3) cup of water
(1) cup of flour
(1) tablespoon of oil
(1) teaspoon of lemon juice
(1/4) teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Directions:
1. SLICE ONIONS (3/8) INCHES THICK AND SEPARATE INTO RINGS. POUR MILK IN SHALLOW DISH AND SOAK ONIONS FOR 30 MINUTES MORE..
2. COMBINE EGG , SALT, BAKING POWDER, WATER, FLOUR, OIL, LEMON JUICE AND CAYENNE PEPPER. STIR TILL SMOOTH
3. HEAT OIL TO 375 DEFREES
4. REMOVE RINGS FROM MILK AND DIP INTO BATTER.
5. FRY IN OIL TILL GOLDEN BROWN.
6. DRAIN AND ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
