French Breakfast Puffs

Basically like a muffin. Warm, sweet, and delicous. These are perfect for breakfast on the weekends. They're so easy but taste so good. Your family will love you for making these.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup melted margarine
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons melted margarine
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
3. Combine liquid ingredients in a medium bowl.
4. Combine the two in the larger bowl and stir briefly. DO NOT over mix, the batter will be lumpy.
5. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
6. Bake for 15 minutes.
7. While puffs are baking:.
8. Combine the sugar and cinnamon.
9. Melt margarine in microwave for 1 minute.
10. Remove puffs from oven immediatley.
11. Dip tops into margarine and then into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
12. Serve warm.
