French Apple Pie

This is phenomenal. I wasn't sure how it would taste because it wasn't beautiful to look at in my eyes, but it is to die for. Recipe courtesy of Betty Crocker's New Cookbook.
Ingredients:
pastry for single-crust pie, pie
1/3-2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 dash salt
8 cups tart apples (8 medium, thinly sliced and peeled)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup butter (firm stick)
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 425. Prepare pastry.
2. mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in large bowl.
3. Stir in apples.
4. Turn into pastry-lined pie plate.
5. Make crumb topping by combining flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
6. Bake 50 minutes. In last 10 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning, cover with aluminum foil.
7. Serve warm.
