Fluffy White And Wild Rice

We like rice in just about any form. Here is a combo from an old Joy of Cooking that is a favorite.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 med onion, chopped
1/2 lb mushrooms, sliced
1 10 1/2 oz condensed beef consomme
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup wild rice
1 cup regular long-grain rice
1 2/3 cups of water
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. In an ovenproof, medium skillet, over medium heat, heat butter or margarine, and cook the onion and mushrooms until the onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in 1 2/3 cups of water, the undiluted consommé and salt; heat to boiling.
4. Meanwhile, wash the wild rice well; drain.
5. Stir rice and wild rice into the boiling mixture.
6. Cover and bake 35 minutes or until the wild rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
7. Toss mixture with a fork and serve.
