A recipe from the cookbook Ricardo- Meals for every occassion , sent to me by Katzen in the cookbook swap. Ricardo is a well known Canadian Chef. Thankyou Katzen. I haven't tried this recipe yet. Suggested to serve over ice-cream
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter
19 ounces jar morello cherries or 19 ounces bing cherries, drained
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons dark rum
Directions:
1. melt the butter in a skillet.
2. Saute the cherries and sugar in the butter over high heat for 2 minutes.
3. add the rum and flambe immediately. Reduce for 1 minute.
4. Serve hot over ice-cream.
