this is a recipe for pie crust using Fluffo... if you can't find that butter flavored Crisco will work...the recipe is from a Fluffo pamphlet dated 1955... the recipe makes a double pie crust which is very flaky. Read more ...prep time doesn't include chilling times
Ingredients:
2 cups sifted flour
1 teasp. salt
2/3 cup golden fluffo
4 tbsp. ice water
Directions:
1. combine the flour and the salt in a mixing bowl
2. cut in the Fluffo with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal
3. sprinkle water over mixture 1 TBSP. at a time
4. mix using a fork
5. continue until the flour is moistened.
6. divide into 2 balls and wrap in plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until the dough is chilled
7. roll pastry on a lightly floured board to 1/8-inch thickness
8. use short light strokes from the center to the outer edges
9. keep dough round
10. makes 2 crusts...

12. tips... make sure every thing you use it cold...
13. use a very light hand in rolling out dough
14. don't pack the dough into a ball do it very gently just until it holds together...
15. chill your bowl
16. put the pie crust back in the refrigerator after you get it in the pie plat to chill it back down
17. make Sure you oven is at the correct temperature before putting the pie in...
