This is my favorite way to have Fettuccini Alfredo. Doesn't have that 'off' flavor that jarred alfredo sauce has. I serve with crisp steamed broccoli florets and sauteed chicken breasts.
Ingredients:
16 ounces fettuccine pasta
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup sweet unsalted butter
1 cup parmesan cheese
salt
black pepper
Directions:
1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil, add pasta and cook according to package directions.
2. Drain pasta, and place butter and cream into the pot.
3. Return the pasta to the pot, add the Parmesan cheese, and stir until pasta is coated and the butter is melted.
