Fettuccine With No-Cook Walnut Alfredo Sauce

This is a great, quick pasta dish that you can make in the time it takes to cook the pasta. If you like, you can use 1/2 cup non-fat yogurt and eliminate the half and half to cut the fat.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb fettuccine pasta
1/2 cup walnuts
1 tablespoon fresh basil
1 garlic clove
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup half-and-half
1/4 cup yogurt
Directions:
1. Cook fettuccine al dente.
2. Toast walnuts.
3. Mince basil and garlic in a food processor or blender.
4. Add walnuts, parmesan, salt and pepper; pulse to mix.
5. Add oil slowly.
6. Add half and half and yogurt.
7. Pour sauce over pasta.
8. If you like, add chicken, shrimp, or mushrooms to the pasta.
