Fettuccine With Creamy Pumpkin Sauce

Give pasta night a new twist with this creamy pumpkin sauce. It's a delicious dish to serve in the fall or all year round. And the canned pumpkin makes this a terrific source of vitamin A!
Ingredients:
16 ounces dried fettuccine
1 (12 ounce) can fat-free evaporated milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 (15 ounce) can solid-pack pumpkin
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup toasted pine nuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Cook the fettucine pasta according to the package directions. While the pasta is cooking mix the milk, butter, pumpkin, onion powder, garlic powder, sage and salt in a saucepan; cook over medium heat until simmering. Stir in the cheese. Drain the pasta, toss with the sauce and garnish with the pine nuts, if desired.
