Favorite Fried Rice

This is a great meal for those who like asian food. Way better than take-out. This version is vegetarian, but leftover chicken, steak or pork can be chopped up and added.
Ingredients:
2 cups rice
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1/4 cup canola oil
3 eggs, whipped
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
1/2 cup onion, diced
1 cup green peas
1 cup carrot
1/4 cup oyster sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons cooking sherry
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 pinch pepper
Directions:
1. Boil rice in 4 cups water mixed with the hoisin sauce.
2. Pour into shallow dish and put in fridge to cool.
3. Heat oil in wok.
4. Add garlic, ginger, onion, peas and carrots and saute for 1 minute.
5. Add the eggs and cook like an omelet.
6. Mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, sherry, sesame oil and pepper.
7. Add rice to wok.
8. Pour sauce over rice and mix.
9. Serve and enjoy.
