Hearty bowl of steamed oatmeal. Topped with butter, brown sugar, cranberries, walnuts, then every now and then drizzled with cream. :) It's a good morning beautiful presentation, and oh, so good.
Ingredients:
i have been eating quaker oats since i was a child, and quaker is my favorite choice
cook amount of your choice of rolled oats for number of bowls to be served
butter
brown sugar
dried cranberries
broken walnuts
cream, when you can
grated orange rind (think i will try this next)
Directions:
1. Fill each bowl with cooked oatmeal
2. Place butter on top
3. Sprinkle with brown sugar
4. Sprinkle with dried cranberries
5. Top with broken walnuts
6. Drizzle with cream when you can :)
7. NOTE: I sometimes go to bed at night, thinking about this for breakfast the next morning! Makes you want to get up!! Better than an alarm clock!
