This is a simple and oh-so-tasty apple crisp - Enjoy!! A fantastic recipe for Diabetics -
Ingredients:
4 medium apples, peeled, sliced
1/4 cuop fresh orange juice
1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/3 cup splenda sugar substitute
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 tps. grated orange rind
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lowfat margarine
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Place apples in 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Drizzle with orange juice.
2. Combine rolled oats, Splenda, flour, cinnamon, orange rind, and salt with fork, sitr in margarine and oil until well blended. Spoon over apples.
3. Bake at 375F for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender.
4. Serve warm.
