The name for this trail mix comes from the ease of preparation, the pleasure of knowing that you are eating healthy, and how great you will feel! Experiment...try this recipe and then vary the ingredients. Use your preference for cereal flavor if available (for example, Honey Nut Cheeriors or plain, etc,)
Ingredients:
2 cups cheerios toasted oat cereal
1 cup total wheat flakes cereal
1 cup smart start cereal
4 ounces raisins
4 ounces dried blueberries
4 ounces diced dates
2 ounces peanuts
2 ounces sliced almonds
2 ounces sunflower seeds
2 ounces pumpkin seeds
1 cup pretzel, broken into bite sized pieces
Directions:
1. Measure ingredients and pour into a bowl.
2. Divide among plastic baggies in desired portion sizes.
3. Enjoy!
