My daughter reminded of this recipe. So simple yet so satisfying for chocolate lovers. When I make this I also serve it with fresh fruit and berries. One can also garnish with chocolate syrup or sauce. Lots of possibilities for this easy, simple dessert! Read more ! Ingredients:
1, 9 oz box of famous chocolate wafers |
( these are a thin chocolate cookie ) |
1 pint heavy cream |
1 tsp vanilla |
optional fresh sliced fruit and berries |
optional chocolate sauces |
Directions:
1. Whip the cream with the vanilla. If you want it sweeter, of course add some sugar to taste
2. When cream is whipped, add a thin layer of whipped cream in an 8 inch loaf pan.
3. Add cookie wafers about 3 down the center and a few halves at the sides
4. Spread on more whipped cream and repeat using all the cookie wafers ending with the cream to froast entire top.
5. I sprinkle a crumbled cookie over the top.
6. Cover and chill 4 to 6 hours
7. Then Freeze firm and loosen
8. Carefully run a knife all around sides.
9. Carefully remove from pan and place on serving platter
10. Let come to room temp about an hour and slice and serve
11. with fresh fruit or chocolate sauce
