I'm sorry for the lack of measurements in this recipe - I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. Next time, I promise to pay more attention to how much I used. Ingredients:
fresh brussel sprouts |
oil |
apple cider |
ground cinnamon |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Remove any imperfect leaves from the brussel sprouts and wash thoroughly. Cut off any excess stems. Cut the brussel sprouts in half, then take each half and cut each into thin slices. Put into a roasting pan. 2. Drizzle brussel sprout slices with oil, add a splash of apple cider, and sprinkle with ground cinnamon, salt and pepper. Mix to coat. 3. Put into a 350 degree oven and roast for approximately 50 minutes, stirring occasionally. Apple cider will evaporate quickly. 4. This length of time and temperature will yield veggies that are still crisp, not soggy. If you increase the oven temp, be sure to stir more frequently - you don't want the apple cider sugars to burn. |
