Fabulous Homemade Apple Pancakes

I've used this recipe over 40 years, and is still a favorite. I have no idea where I found the recipe, but hope you like it as much as we do.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
1 beaten egg
1 1/4 cups milk
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup pared chopped apple
1/2 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons milk
Directions:
1. Mix first 5 ingredients together.
2. Mix next 3 ingredients together, then blend in the 2 t. mlk, and add to dry ingredients. Mix only until blended.
3. Fold in the chopped apples. Spoon batter onto medium hot griddle to cook. Serve.
4. Top with cinnamon butter and maple syrup.
