This is a winter time favorite at my house ! It is the perfect complement to a cup of hot chocolate,coffee or tea after a fun day in the snow! I also serve this every Thanksgiving and it makes a perfect Holiday gift! Read more !
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 eggs
2cups mashed over-ripe bananas(5-6 medium bananas)
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cooking oil
1 pkg 12oz chocolate chips
1 pkg 12oz peanut butter chips
topping
2 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon mixed
1 tablespoon butter set aside
Directions:
1. Grease the bottoms and side of 2 8x4x2-inch loaf pans. set aside.
2. In a medium mixing bowl combine flour,baking powder,baking soda,cinnamon make a well in the center set aside.
3. In another bowl combine the eggs, bananas, sugar,cooking oil.
4. Add egg mixture to the dry. STIR JUST UNTIL MOIST (batter will be lumpy) set aside.
5. In another bowl add BOTH packages of chips add 2 tablespoons of flour and toss the chips until all chips are covered with flour. *THIS WILL KEEP THE CHIPS SUSPENDED IN YOUR BREAD AND KEEPS THEM FROM SINKING TO THE BOTTOM.
6. Turn chips and flour into mixture just until covered DO NOT OVER MIX
7. it's ok to see a little of the flour .
8. Pour into prepared loaf pans Bake 350 for 40 or 50 min bread will be dark brown.
9. After bread is removed from oven melt the tablespoon of butter by rubbing on top of the loafs and sprinkle with the topping mixture. serve warm or cold!
