Eggnog Trifle Dessert

Ingredients:
3/4 cup milk
2 (3.4 oz) instant french pudding mix
2 cups eggnog
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped, divided
1 (10oz) loaf angel food (or sponge cake)
1 cup raspberry jam
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
marasdchino cherries
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, beat milk and pudding mix (just until blended). Gradually add eggnog. Add almond extract and 1 cup whipped cream; set aside.
2. Slice cake, cut into 1/2 inch pieces. Place 1/4 cake pieces into into a 2 qt serving bowl, top with 1/2 cup jam. Spoon 1 cup of eggnog mixture over. Repeat layer.
3. Chill at least 3 hours. Fold powdered sugar and vanilla into remaining whipping cream. Spoon over top of trifle. Decorate with cherries.
