An easy, egg-free banana bread
Ingredients:
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup applesauce
5 tablespoons buttermilk
1 cup banana, mashed (about 3)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
1. cream margarine and sugar.
2. add applesauce, buttermilk, mashed bananas and vanilla and mix well.
3. combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. add flour mixture to banana mixture and mix until combined (will be lumpy).
5. stir in chocolate chips.
6. spoon into greased loaf pan.
7. bake at 350F for 60 minutes.
