Easy Vegetable Salad

From a collection of recipes I found in MIL books. don't know where it came from. But seems simple if you need a last minute salad for a last minute party, potluck etc.
Ingredients:
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can french style green beans
11 ounces shoe peg corn
1 (15 ounce) can sweet peas
1 (2 ounce) jar pimientos
1 cup onion, finely cut
1 cup celery, finely cut
1/2 cup green pepper, finely cut
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup oil
Directions:
1. put all cans into a colander and drain well. Then in large mixing bowl combine all the vegetables and coat with the sauce.
2. Refridgerate until ready to use. Sauce will keep by itself for several weeks in a tightly fitted jar in refridgerator.
