Easy Tamale Corn Bake

Easy, quick. Great dish for a simple supper. I found this recipe in an old Gebhardt's ad that was tucked in with some very old recipes. Made it through the years. Love it.
Ingredients:
6-8 of your favorite hot tamales or 1 can of tamales
1 can cream style corn
1 teaspoon gebhardt's chili powder
1 egg (have made it with 2 eggs)
grated cheese (you can make it as cheesy as you like)
note: through the years, i have added black olives, garlic, chopped onions, and chopped jalapenos. i have also doubled the recipe.
Directions:
1. Remove shucks or wrappers from Tamales
2. Chop or slice Tamales, and place in 9 inch square dish
3. In medium bowl whisk egg or eggs slightly
4. Add Cream Style Corn to slightly beaten egg, blend
5. If adding other ingredients, add now
6. Add chili powder, stir
7. Fold in grated cheese
8. Pour this mixture over Tamales
9. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 25-30 minutes
10. Serve with Tortilla chips, salsa, salad, etc.
