There is a small steakhouse in Murfreesboro, TN that has the most amazing steak marinade that I have not found ANYWHERE else! One day I asked my waiter if he would share some of the ingredients with me. After getting home I immediately began experimenting to see if I could re-create the flavor of THAT marinade while the taste was still fresh in my mind. This is what I came up with. I brush the marinade all over the steaks and place them in a vacuum-seal bag in the refrigerator a couple hours before I want to begin cooking. Delicious! Ingredients:
4 teaspoons salt |
4 teaspoons paprika |
2 teaspoons black pepper |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
1/2 teaspoon turmeric |
1/4 cup red wine vinegar |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
2 teaspoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons ketchup |
Directions:
1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together wet ingredients. Add dry ingredients and whisk to combine. |
